You shouldn't need to build perl_Reaction but if you want to may need to add link from

makelink from gcc:lib/gcc/ppc-amigaos/4.2.4/clib2-ts/lib to gcc:lib/gcc/ppc-amigaos/4.2.4/clib2/lib.threadsafe

you might need to create the clib2-ts directory first.

If

list sdk:local/clib2/lib/perl5/site_perl/ all

returned not found then do a

makedir sdk:local/clib2/lib/perl5/site_perl/

and try the installer again.

I have to admit that my english is so much bad that I don't understand the ReadMe, I thought that I had to build the perl_reaction...

I just try to

makedir sdk:local/clib2/lib/perl5/site_perl/

and reran the installation script.

Still KO, same error,"can't locate Mac/iPod/..."

What is this Mac/iPod ???

Mac/ipod/GNUpod is the perl module that does all the hardwork.

You should see the directory Mac-iPod-GNUPod-1/25 in the apod-dist directory afetr unpacking.

Use the Installer script to install this and other modules (the install script uses the installmodule.pl helper script)/

Installation process is as follows

Instal perl (5.8.5 version)
Install perl_patch
Install perl_Reaction
Install apod using Installer script

I make installed all the others directory (MP3 UNICODE MP4,etc) but failed only with XML-Parser-2.41

1) in XML-Parser-2.41/Expat/Makefile
I have had to comment

Hmm make install should just try to install rather than rebuild, but perhaps as you modified the makefile, it depends on the makefile and thus rebuilt.

For the makelink command, hmm I think I must have coppied

Programing:SDK/gcc/lib/gcc/ppc-amigaos/4.2.4/clib2/lib

to

Programing:SDK/gcc/lib/gcc/ppc-amigaos/4.2.4/clib2/lib.threadsafe

as the two dirs seem identical.

Clib2 support has slipped a little now that newlib is the prefered C library for OS4


This whole processs is way more difficult that it was I'm at a loss to say whats's wrong.

The installer was working fine before this, in a previous thread on this subject the Install script stage was the easy bit

Yes I had to modify the Makefile to remove your "/programing/"

And I sure you that I redownloaded a fresh package from os4depot

Yes, the makefile is built by perl Makefile.pl originally so it might well contain paths specific to my system.

I think it must be that pure perl modules (ie no binary XS extentions) don't need any system specific paths, and that the XSUB variant clearly does.

The safest approach in that case then is

perl Makefile.pl
make
make install

but

installmodule.pl

is designed to get arround this as it only draws paths from your Config.pm file.

My last random thoght is that if your installing from RAM: the space in Ram Disk: might be screwing things up.

From RAM Disk:
perl makefile.pl
make
make install works !

but now, I'm stuck like ddni ;)
