SAM 440 EP - Driving me nuts! Help please :-)

Hi all

I had to replace the CMOS battery on my SAM440 EP, however, I now cannot access the BIOS Menu the USB Keyboard (Tried 2 others) just doesn't activate during the pre-boot (uboot) sequence. I have to wait until it boots into OS4.1 U6+ before it starts working.

In addition, I don't seem to have any sound either. Any ideas please??

Is it so that keyboard need to be connected to specified usb port to work before OS is loaded.

okay, am in there. How do I set the time and date - Also, is there an Audio on/off option?

Is there program to make uboot settings in SAM as in A1 ?

If it needs uboot varible to set up usb kbd, is it possible to reprogram with terminal and nullmodem cable ?

Not very sophisticated :)

Okay I guess the only way to set the time is via OS4 - fine, done that. Seems to be fine

Can anyone tell me how I can get sound to work?

Try nvgetvar > sys:Variables . Should produce text file with all uboot variables.

Easier to check, what is wrong.

I think that the sound is muted by default. Go in prefs/ahi and check the settings for the music and unit 0.

Music unit should ideally be set to Unit0.

Mixer might need installing/running to get any sound out of it. Can't remember if that is necessary but it certainly used to be on the A1XE.
