On unixes to echo special characters i add \ before them.

edit: damn, can't type it on forum. In other words , is there something like \ in unixes ? I need just:

ram:> echo "aaa" >1

and 1 should have "aaa" (with those "). I tried double them, and result is aaa"" , and when tried it as on unix it just take \ as usual character.

Something like this:

echo {backslash}""aaa{backslash}"" >1

Where {backslash} ist the backslash-sign

Special characters must be escaped with a '*' character:
echo >1 "*"aaa*""
