Hi all, there's a new version. Once again a maintenance release: Bug fixes and internal code cleanup:
- Fixed disabled string gadgets in info window - Unlock pubscreen when iconified - Fixed AREXX open/add commands to work with playlists - Changed playlist loading code to always accept headerless playlists when their extension is (.pls|.m3u|.playlist) - Completely revised charset conversion routines resulting in mucht better UTF8 support - Revised plain M3U playlist loading, now also works via HTTP - Fixed time display of long tracks in skinned playlist window, added time display to reaction playlist window - Added automatic reconnect for shoutcast streaming if connection was lost
Please note that M4A-DASH files directly recorded from youtube streams can not be played! However, they can be converted into regular M4A files using ffmpeg:
Thank you really much for this piece of software. It makes my SAM and AmigaOS more valuable. I have used AmigaAmp3 every day before my SAM went on holiday in Italy. And will use it every day when he return.
SAM 460 @ 1150 Mhz , 2GB RAM, 1TB HD +250 GB HD, 4x SATA Controller,Club 3D R7 250 + Warp3D Driver,PCIe 7.1 Soundcard,Fractal Design Define R3 artic white,AmigaOS 4.1FE, Ultra Accounts ,Mace, Dir me up, Gimp ,YAM. Turboprint 7.6
AmigaAmp is great, but my music collection is all in OGG Vorbis form... so I'm limited to Tunenet (which is excellent, but lacks some features I could use). I hope other formats support gets added at some point! Still good to see an update though, so thanks!
About TuneNet plugins --------------------- AmigaAMP supports TuneNet plugins in its own Plugins folder. When opening a file the built in decoders will be tried first. If none of them matches the file format then all TuneNet plugins in the Plugins folder will be tried.
Since support for sndfile, flac, ogg and modplug is built in, it doesn't make sense to have the corresponding TNPlugs installed in the Plugin folder. They'll will never be used and just slow down the loading process.
If a plugin can't be loaded for whatever reason a requester will pop up when starting AmigaAMP. To get rid of this requester you have to fix the plugin or delete it.
If a plugin crashes, don't blame me! :)
If your ogg files don't work they seem to be in a format AmigaAmp can't understand.
So you can still install and try the TuneOgg Plugin or ask Thomas kindly to support your strange files
@kas1e Sorry, it's not in the AmiUpdate database yet. I usually release it on the web site first and see if some serious bug reports come in. If all went well then I'll put it on AmiUpdate and later also on OS4Deopt.
@spirantho Normally ogg files should work right out of the box. If they don't then there's either something strange with them or it's a bug in AmigaAMP that it can't detect them. Can you send me one of the non working files, please?
No, just means I haven't checked in too long. :) I've only just got my X1000 set up at work so obviously I was confusing it with an old version. Sorry!
There's a bug with showing FLAC information, the artist/title/album fields bleed in from the previous track. So then you get stuff like <TITLE><PART OF PREVIOUS TITLE LONGER THAN THE CURRENT ONE>
Oh, easy to reproduce, if you have the files for it.
