@ live4it. Does the newly uploaded GUI have any performance impact or compatibility issues with your mplayer beta?
I've been testing it for a few days now and the only thing not working is P96_PIP in Mplayer-GUI (when selcetd in the Video tab).
It's because LiveForIt has renamed "p96_pip" in "pip". And since MPlyaer tries first the composition mode, it won't work directly with overlay.
So MPlayer-GUi works without any problem with MPlayer-Beta3 except that if you want to use p96_pip, you will have to add "-vo pip" in Additional Parameters (Extras tab). All the rest is working flawlessly.
Regarding performances, MPlayer-GUI is only the GUI.
And you can use the new button "Skip loop filter" (in Extras tab) to improve things on huge videos.
do not misunderstand, we radeonHD users want composition mode, i'm looking forward to try it, thanks for your work
and what i meant is what Hans wrote you:
@K-L
Sorry, but that is incorrect. Use of DMA to transfer to/from VRAM is currently only available on Sam4x0 machines. This should change at some point in the future.
Hans
do you understand now ??
Sam 460EX, 2Gb Ram, Radeon R7 250, AmigaOS4.1 FE A4000 PPC604@233, Mediator A1200 PPC603@160, Mediator uA1 G3@800, 512 Mb [sold]
The direct Importation from the official MPlayer source tree still working right ? If i remember correctly at the time this was one of the main reason for you to open a proper repository
I haven't looked at this yet. I will have to find a way to do this type of merge on SVN, a type of branching called "vendor branching" might work in this case.
As thing basically done, I strip the exe, compile a none AltiVec version stick it in .lha file and upload it to OS4Dpoet.net tomorrow or latter today.
Since all you work will go into the repository, if you agree I'd like to call this first version MPlayer-AmigaOS 1.00, and to change the version tag under src/version.h to this:
#define VERSION "-AmigaOS 1.00 SVN-rSVN-r32634-4.2.4"
This way we'll not have have to refer to this version of MPlayer as e.g. LiveForIt's version or similar, and to make it easier for everyone to find out what version of MPlayer they are running.

Ok good, in the future this might be very very usefull making easy the entire update procedure
@LiveForIt Probably it worht to rename pip to p96_pip back (so all will have no problems with external scripts and stuff).
I agree, I prefer it to be called p96_pip as well.

Imho better AmigaOS4 1.00 blabla, (i.e. amigaos4, not amigaos), to be more exact.
Well, the project on Google Code is called mplayer-amigaos, and in the future it might host the AROS version as well, so for coherency I was thinking to call it that way. Or we might print a different version string on each platform, too.
