Just can't stay away

Hey all,

has anyone else tried this game on an X1000? http://www.clubevolution4.com/HunoPortSDL/index1.php

If so, how did it perform? I am having problems getting anything about 5-8fps.

I run it on a 128bit 9250pci at 640x480 with all the graphics settings on minimum/low

Perhaps the 33mhz pci slot is killing it on X1000.

How does it fare on other AmiagOnes and Sams?

No problem on my x1000/R9250 with SmokingGuns.

It works well by lowering resolution (at 1200) but with others settings as default.

I only have problem with Gish (freeze at startup) and UrbanTerror (corrupted graphics at start menu).

All others HunoPPC games are OK !

Tested on peg2/radeon9250 : its all vary. I.e. in 640x480x16bit fullscreen with default settings i have about 20fps when alone, but once i add few bots, its just drop down to 4fps.

removing bots helps, but in any outdoor area I get 3-5 fps. In corners with little depth I get 70fps. The variability makes the game unplayable.

There still must be something else going on.

Quite a regular

I remember this wildly varying refresh rate from the previous Smokin' Guns setup (that ran on 512 MB) on AmigaOneXE. So that doesn't say much. Which complex Warp3D effort runs well on an X1000?

Seems that performance is same with my Sam 440ep Flex. 3-20fps

I know nothing about the game whatsoever but is there any distance culling / limiting setting? Polygon count is clearly going through the roof on very large areas, so culling the most distant would improve performance if the option exists.
