Does anyone know of a working 1GIG memory SIMM for the uA1-c? I seem to recall one being offered by an Amiga vendor....but I don't know if it is still available.

Thanks,

Scott

Kurt Grach seems to be selling one
HERE

I ordered the 512Meg one from him a year or two ago, and have had no problems at all. E-mail him first, though.

Back when I asked about the 1 Gig from Kurt the price was outrageous. But like you said, best to email or phone him and find out what the current status is on it.

Thanks...I'll email Kurt and see what he says. Currently the price listed for a 1Gig ram card is $548.00 USD. Wow!

Hi ScottCabit,

I paid considerably less than that, but mine doesn't work. (So, I technically paid more.)

I bought one from somewhere else, but it had only 18 memory ICs on it instead of 36, even though I told the person who sorced it I _needed_ 36 ICs on there. It's easier to make the 18s nowadays, if anyone bothers to want to make such a relic.

I was offered the 36 IC one about a year and a half ago from the same company, but didn't have the money to buy it then. At that time they MAY have had an actual 36 IC sdram to sell me. !!!!!

I contacted them on Tues. or Wed. (2, 3 days ago) and they said they'd check to see if they could dig up a 36 IC module.

I am after a cheap 512mb module for my MicroA1, but I am confused as to what I can buy, I have checked out Intuitionbase and found that I can get a particular model for ?64 that is compatible, but can anyone beat that?

Yes...sadly, Kurt responded to my email telling me that the 1 Gig uA1-c card is no longer available due to lack of demand.
Please let me know what you discover.

Hi ScottCabit, Mikey_C,

What I need to know is, does the SODimm that a microAmigaOne uses need to have 36 ICs on it just like a 1 Gig sdram in an AmigaOne XE?
