Remember? No, as I never get any events for the resize.
However, you can set web_search_width in Choices to a larger value.

What is "Choices", and how do I access them?

NetSurf directory, Users, your username (might be "Default", probably will be the only dir in there), and the file "Choices". Open it up in NotePad and add:
web_search_width:50

Save, restart NetSurf and see what happens.

I was trying to download the latest AmigaOS4 version of ScummVM from http://scummvm.org/downloads , but after clicking on the "AmigaOS4 package" link an error requester popped up with "Bad redirect URL". The same link works fine with OWB/Odyssey. Any idea why this is happening? Could it be JavaScript-related? I˙m on the latest test build, #2024.

Run NetSurf with:
netsurf -v *>ram:ns.log

Try it again.

Quit NetSurf and raise a bug report with ram:ns.log attached.

Thanks Chris! I meant to do what you'd said but I'm away from my Sam until mid next week.

Just restarted some test with a recent version (Dev #2050).
Some minor issues found i think.

1) The search web functionality seems not working anymore ?
If i select some text in a page (and then i choose the search web option from menu) i got this kind of message:

Quote:
Could not resolve host: ####

My preferred websearch is Google, well the default one in NetSurf ..

2) Ehm you know .. the "Save as IFF" still saving as PNG !
Well atleast the extention is that

3) The favicon in searchweb area (the one that you can select from the dropdown list) seems a bit corrupted graphically, expecially after you select them: for example the default Google favicon is ok at startup, however if you reselect it from menu, then it will be "corrupted"

No other problems for now

1) I'll have to check this, but it was working last time I used it.

2) Still haven't seen a bug report for this, ergo it won't get fixed as I keep forgetting about it.

3) That's a chooser.gadget bug. I think it has been fixed but until the new version is public I have no way of knowing for sure.

Look like this functionality stopped working long ago, as a test i downloaded an old version (#1893) and it's the same

Yep sorry i should have asked for a new access, but then i forgot it ..
Aniway do you need now a ticket for this ?
If you plan to fix it later then i can open it, conversely ...

It's working here. Try reselecting the search engine in prefs, or select a different one and then change it back. Is it just Google that is broken? If that doesn't work I'll need a log file.

Yes, there's little chance of me fixing it in the immediate future as the PC I use for cross-compiling is broken.

Hi Everybody!

My question - is here anybody experienced with WarpOS that can manage to help Artur Jarosik (responsible for 68k version) to build classic PPC verison of NetSurf?

If yes, please send me PM to get more details. Thanks!

I (and the rest of the NetSurf dev team) would much rather he concentrated on building a proper frontend (or back-porting the OS4 one), rather than using the Framebuffer one.

I understand you guys but he only proposed to help someone who have WOS software making experience to prepare that kind version. Nothing more. This is reason why I'm asking here on amigans.net than on polish sites where no one is interested to make/port software like that.

Regards!

Just an idea: currently when you select a piece of text and mouse-drag it into the search string gadget, you need to press Enter to start searching. For me this is an extra step - and I'd appreciate having an option to invoke the search right after dragging the text. Would a "pretty please!" improve my chances? :) Thanks!
