@328gts That is a remake, which isn't likely going to be open source.
@all Now that I'm back in commission, I'd like to hear what are you looking from me, especially those who donated for my machine. There have been a list at the beginning, but I honestly couldn't keep track of who donated how much, and some of the requests might have lost somewhere along the way. I now have enough experience to judge which type of software to avoid, like the 3D stuff. Not that I don't enjoy reading all the belittling comments, but at the end of the day, I'd like to release usable ports. HomeWold and OpenJK still needs some work, so I'm going to finish those in the meantime.

A decent bittorrent client would be great to get, although my access to torrents is limited as currently my ISP (British Telecom) blocks all torrent related sites...
thank you for the work you already have done and your finals went well, i do have big big hopes that Aliens vs Predator and Arx Libertatis would be ported, i can hear the games screams and begged to be launched from Workbench:)
@Severin I sent you a test version in a PM here. It sometimes DSI crashes dos_appdir_server, and I can't tell why because I have the debug symbols for it.

An OpenJK update is now available on my website. This includes some Jedi Outcast bugfixes, plus tons of multiplayer fixes. The text input now works properly, so you can insult your opponent to your heart's content.

I fixed a long standing bug, which caused the blaster wielding rodiant to have a big hole on its back. I hopefully won't find more like this, and can move on to AvP :)

I ventured outside the realm of OpenJK, and tried to compile AvP. Just like those before me, I didn't fare very well. Most of the ingame textures are pitch black, some campaings do not load at all, giving me an alignment error. I'm not sure if Warp3D gives me the grief or the game does something bad. Maybe I'll try it with Wazp3D too. I think I'll start with Arx Libertatis instead, which has much cleaner code.

thanks for the update, i hope you can manage it. arx fatalis i have played 4-5 hours, never finish due glitch in my previous nvidia drivers. So hope you succeed. if not, its okay :)
I corrected all the copy paste errors and other oversights in the added byteswaps, and I was finally able to get ingame. It looks terrible, due to the messed up mipmaps and the unsupported blendfuncs, but I'm getting there.

I'm making really good progress, you can expect the first build of Arx Libertatis very soon. The performance is decent too. Being a dungeon crawler, the game plays in confined spaces, unlike the Jedi Knight games which had open areas.
