The game is not meant to be played with a software renderer :)

when I'm online the select() function of the TCP/IP stack stops working,Make sure you are not mixing newlib and direct roadshow calls, could happen if you have <proto/bsdsocket.h> included and __USE_INLINE__ .
Then ofcourse you should be using WaitSelect()

I'm not mixing them, and it works perfectly if I'm not connected to the internet.

@Joeled
Tsk, tsk, you didn't even bother to check your
own thread @utri007
I made the archive on windows, where I can't set amiga protection bits.

@Joeled It uses Allegro5, which would need to be ported, it relies on programmable shaders for various effects (it's an OpenGL game). BASS doesn't really have an alternative on OS4 either.

What about this game
LordsAWar! LordsAWar! is a free, turn-based strategy game where up to 8 players strive for control of as many cities as possible. Produce new armies in cities to conquer nearby cities. Using the income from those cities, make more armies to take more cities. Send a hero to a temple to get a quest, or maybe search a nearby ruin instead. Play with others or against the computer.
The goal of this project is to make a game that is similar to Warlords II and is playable on GNU+Linux, Windows, and Macintosh. This project has a longer history than most people realize!

@BSzili I made some testing with new minigl. Multiraces is quite much faster than earlier, if I say 2x is near truth. Arx Fatalis is also faster, now fps doesn't drop less than 10-11 in worst case. There is still a problem with mouse pointer. Here's new Hieronymus log Summarized results : Percent | Program 14.8 | LIBS:minigl.library 1.2 | LIBS:Warp3D.library 51.9 | Project:Arx Fatalis/arx 7.7 | SYS:Kickstart/timer.device.kmod 8.8 | SYS:Kickstart/ATIRadeon.chip 9.4 | LIBS:Warp3D/HWdrivers/W3D_R200.library 4.8 | SYS:Kickstart/kernel 0.4 | Workbench:SObjs/libgcc.so 0.2 | SYS:Kickstart/graphics.library.kmod 0.4 | Workbench:SObjs/libstdc++.so 0.2 | SYS:Kickstart/SmartFilesystem 0.2 | Workbench:SObjs/libpthread.so

@utri007 It's nice that the new MiniGL gives a boost even for the old cards. I wonder if some of the driver improvements (better fillrate, batching vertex arrays, less reliance on the command buffer, etc.) could be backported to the old R200 driver too.
