SMtube / Qt on Final Edition

My X1000 under FE, on my RadeonHD 6850 when running Qt apps, I am getting the error "Failed to create opengl context!" Followed by a system lock up.

On my 9250, Qt apps work but they appear to overwrite the Amiga title and drawer edges.

I very carefully installed Qt and got all the latest .sobj
Please can someone check Qt apps (smtube. Cutepiano. Qsolocards. Etc) on their FE installation.

Are you sure that you checked "Native paint engine" in Prefs/Qt/Painting when you use Qt on your HD video card ?

I'm happy that SMTube still works on FE.

I think that I will have enough work with zTools on FE when I will receive it ;)

Webreplay, cpudock, fastview, sysmon seem ok so far...

I can confirm change the QT Prefs setting to Native Painting stops the lock-up on FE. Makes you wonder why it is Enabled in the first place for all users...

Easy... MOST users are not using HD cards so have OpenGL.

I don't know why Qt doesn't automatically detect Radeon HD cards at installation time, and automatically set the correct setting. RunInUAE's installer has detected Radeon HD cards for a long time, it's very easy. I'll even freely offer the little program I wrote to do that, or give it's C code if that would be easier. (Hint: Email me NOT PM me.)
