Dnetc OGR client is also important and we already have a client for all Amiga flavours.

Quote:
OGR's have many applications including sensor placements for X-ray crystallography and radio astronomy. Golomb rulers can also play a significant role in combinatorics, coding theory and communications. Dr. Golomb was one of the first to analyze them for use in these areas.

Quite an interesting topic

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ ... ibuted_computing_projects
what would you support (if you could)
There is one "Art" subject on 2D & 3D rendering
some subjects on climate
and on health research that i might want to support.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BOINC
the basic infrastructue for most distributed computing systems sees to be open source?

Didn't the amiga community was in for some cryptography related subject ?
The DNETc OGR client?

Close...it was the RC5-64 project (now followd by RC5-75, but it's the same Distributed community that does them both...

I think the RC5 project lost momentum once they ditched prize money
