@rossv, AlexC,javierdir, lylehaze, PJS Hello, I have a SAM 460ex and I'm not very happy about the onboard soundchip and his driver. So I bought a internal PCIe Soundcard with a ENVY24HT driver support. This Soundcard delivers much better Quality of Sound than the onboard solution. But the current issue of mixer (1.4) does not support this soundchip. I would be very pleased if you could fix this problem. What can I do to motivate you for this? Best Regards, Markus

@Younghippie I'm afraid I can't do anything, don't know how to create a new <audio_card>_ctrl.c source with the appropiate data to make such card work with MIXER. Maybe if you can post VENDOR / DEVICE / SUBVENDOR data of such card (use pciscan or ranger). I can try to add such value to already existing code.

I find the needed informations. Ranger shows me: Device "0x1724 Rev:0x01 (N/A)", Vendor"0x1412 (N/A)". PCIscan shows me: Vendor"0x1412", Device"0x1724" Vendor name"VIA Technologies Inc.", Description"VT1720/24 [Envy24PT/HT] PCI Multi- Channel Audio Controller" Both tools give no Information about the Subvendor. I would implement the screenshots made with SGrab in this posting, but don't find this funktion. I hope this Information could help to make it possible. Thanks a lot.

@Younghippie
To post a screengrab use something like
http://postimg.org/ (even works in ibrowse & aweb) to host the image then use the DHTML form editor and the third message icon to add the direct link url postimg provides to enter it in your post. eg.
Postimg unlike other hosting sites preserves the image filename which can be useful at times.
Edit: typos.
Amiga user since 1985 AOS4, A-EON, IBrowse & Alinea Betatester Ps. I hate the new amigans website. <shudder>

I think I'm not the only one who wants a mixer support for this kind of soundcard.

There is a tool to change stuff for the envy24ht, at least for my Juli@ card but then you need to read the tech docs to understand. You can rewire signals etc. I wish we had a gui for this :) Or some sort of plugin for mixer in own tab or so.

@Younghippie He meant that all changes, additions, enhancements jabirulo already did and knows working should be merged into the source code (which happens to be hosted on an svn server) so that all other people who (are willing to) work on the source can do that with the latest code.

@Younghippie
The mixer is an OpenAmiga project and as such is hosted in its svn.
http://openamiga.org/index.php?function=viewproject&projectid=62 This is the OpenAmiga support forum after all.
