mplayer and flv video/audio sync (youtube etc)

Hi all,

Was tinkering with mplayer and flash videos playback. The problem was lack of sync between audio/video.

Solution:
add "-mc 0" to mplayer's command.
Looks like correction is broken with flv, this one sets maximum correction to 0 seconds/frame...

Enjoy,
Jack

Tried this on SMtube but had no luck.
No matter what I try, can't get audio and video to sync using SMtube.

The CPU docky inidicates there are cycles to spare.
Anybody got any ideas?

Which format are you trying to watch? How is it different from doing "mplayer filename" in CLI after download?

I have mp4 360 in smtube prefs and autosync=30 in mplayer config. 30 may not be optimal but the synchronization when choosing play in smtube took 10 seconds, which I think is adequate. After that initial adjustment I heard/saw no problem.

Oh and thanks, I didn't realize this functionality works now.

@Thematic

Tried 360 FLV and MP4.

Works fine if played after download using mplayer.

Cheers
