the IOQuake port from juha.niemimaki is better than Huno, the sky is high quality and the filter/texture too, I don't know if it possible to have in Huno's port

It's not a IOQuake problem, the Huno version of the game was really high optimized, but current driver are not :-/

On the same machine MorphOS 3.8 give you more than 100 FPS (at the same video resolution and with a worse video card) so you can imagine how mutch we can (theorically) obtain ...

Universe Two by Crisot can be used for benchmarking pure Warp3D as can his Pxs-engine. It might also answer if there is something funny going on with Cow 3D.

Tested on X1000 witth R9 280 @850Mhz.

Universe Two: 72.893491 fps

Pxs-Engine has 2 executables. PXS_Ship renders 387 co-ordinates and 608 indics while PXS_Multiships renders 1935 co-ordinats and 3040 indices. I tested all resolutions available to me apart from 16-bit modes. I tested just once in each resolution rather than average multiple runs since the variation is so low there's no point.

I know some of you have 4x monitors so it would be interesting to see if the fps stay level all the way to 4x on your systems.

Pxs_Ship;

640x480x32: 72.823372 fps
800x600x32: 72.252017 fps

Just got myself an passive SAPPHIRE HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 ULTIMATE
http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentat ... &sgid=1159&pid=1471&lid=1

Its a bit slower then my 6850 but at least it has a warp3d driver :) and draws much less power. Also its passive. But the 6850 fans were really silent too. I tried q2 and q3 and the fly :)

Here benchmarks from Hans page

6850 - 7,410,45 points
http://hdrlab.org.nz/benchmark/gfxbench2d/OS/AmigaOS/Result/1628

7750 - 6,862,61
http://hdrlab.org.nz/benchmark/gfxbench2d/OS/AmigaOS/Result/1629

Computer: X1000 ofcourse
Cowdemo gave me: 93 fps
Quake3 timedemo 1 / demo four: 43.1 fps at 1280x1024 basic settings

Took me sometime to understand what to type in console, i googled and some said type demo001, demo 1 etc and finally i read here says demo four :p Im happy to finally have one less limit with my amiga. Warp3d check :)

So at least that confirms there's a bottleneck somewhere on the X1000. Hopefully it can be rectified at some point.

Did you test any higher resolutions to see how PXS scales on your system?

If someone have somewhere in benchmarks all the time something around 50-70 fps, then it can be just you have enabled VSYNC option (or in the prefs of app you test, or in the system somewhere). For bench-marking it should be off.

The question is why TiredOfLife have different results.. My guess, that somewhere in the radeon drivers tooltype someone have VSYNC enabled or something, while other ones are not.

I see I'm not the only impatient guy with a HD6850 that couldn't wait waiting for a HD7950 to arrive here to finally start messing with real 3d again.....
