Did you contacted feanor about the problems?
Maybe you can compile a ffmpeg 2.6 version for us betatester and we can see if it works good

I have asked feanor, in this topic before about things, and I have not gotten an answer.

http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... t_id=96980#forumpost96980

I have posted my findings about compiling FFMPEG 2.5 here:

http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum ... t_id=97563#forumpost97563

And Feanor has not made any comment about it.

Did the "comp" driver continue to be usable on a R200 graphics card ?
In the last readme i read that you disable it but i don't understand why, also it seems you also modified the cgx_wpa in order to use the graphics.library instead of the "normal" CyberGfx

What are the reason to use the graphics.library on that specific driver instead of the old CyberGfx stuff ?

I tried today 6.5
With this version tearing and slightly stuttering begins.
So tearing and slightly stuttering have nothing to do with ffmpeg2.5

The best running version is 6.4. There are all my videos playing without tearing and without slightly stuttering.

Yes "comp" is not disabled on Radeon, now it print's the OS graphic card driver, used by screen mode as text output when mplayer starts, in case I need to disable it on some graphic cards later.

Comp_yuv and comp_yuv2 is disabled on Radeon, only work on RadeonHD.

This modes depends on graphic card and RadeonHD driver to support YUV420p color space, as mplayer video output (VO), no longer has to convert yuv to rgb colors, that job has been taken over by the RadeonHD graphic card.

What this should do, is prevent a gray window, without video on older graphic cards, if mplayer video output (VO) is not set.

Cybergraphics is not native on AmigaOS4, the native mode was Picasso96, now they removed picasso96 and move all functions into graphic.library.

So Picasso96 and Cyber graphics is really obsolete, the libraries exists, but only as wrappers, that calls the graphic library functions.

I kept cgx_wpa because it’s the only "wpa" video output, write pixel array (wpa). Or barebone video output.

Besides the Cybergraphics header files are not included in AmigaOS4 SDK.

Plus there naming conflicts between cyber graphics and graphic library now. Some of the function names exist in both libraries, but parameters are not in the same order, or not the same.

Sorry, everyone, looking at the forum is not a really productive way to discuss bugs and fixing them.

If anyone really wants to contact me, I suggest some kind of IM (irc, skype, gtalk), with irc the preferred way (I can be reached on freenode/markos_ and oftc/markos (mind the _ !)

Best would be to talk directly with LiveForIt so that I can reproduce the bug at least on the ffmpeg side.

Even though I leave the forum open in my browser, I do *not* look at it all the time.

About the green screen problem, I don't think it has anything to do with what Feanor has done, I have googled it, and I can find many references to the issue you found.

http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=70929
http://forum.smplayer.info/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5672&start=10

the second thing I noticed is that is crashes, if try to play it on Mplayer2.4 Altivec, but no one reported it to me, back then, or it was not reported because it was codec related.

You can produce videos that have green color problems, by setting bad encoder options.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questio ... layer-ffmpeg-x264-667573/

I do not know, if has anything to do with Altivec or not, but considering that most h264 video clips works, I think this is corner case like feanor was saying.

Sure it be nice if he can fix it, but I'm not sure if he can, and I don't think it is his fault.

If It's necessary you can open a bug tracker at your github project page.

I'm going to PM, my Skype ID to you, sure it might be better for rubber duck feedback.

Note I don't decide when project is done or not, I can only really comment on what I think is wrong. And in most cases I'm not one to ask, how to reproduce bugs, the bugs are found by the beta testers.

"I do not know, if has anything to do with Altivec or not, but considering that most h264 video clips works,"

With your first beta MPlayer or with OS4Depot one or with MickJT SDL MPlayer all my videos works.

With newest version (starting with your second beta), half of my videos (downloaded from Internet with SMTube or WebReplay) have these green problem.

Therefore it's really not usable. I don't understand why I'm the only one to have this problem but it's present on, really really, very really, a lot of videos for me.
