Specifically recommended graphic card for SAM460EX
Just popping in

Amigans out there, I need your help in knowing which model of Radeon 3D card is used and recommended for a SAM460EX, AmigaOS4.1 FE, and to be supported by Southern Islands drivers.

I want to upgrade my original Radeon RV730 card for a 3D card, but I don't want to buy the wrong card; they are not cheap.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately that thread doesn't mention which manufacture, type of slot or model, P/N.

I don't want to buy something that later I won't be able to use in my SAM460ex.

For instance, I believe that the card I buy and use most be low profile, single slot, right?

If someone could share the specifics or a link, I'd appreciate that very much.

Please use this link to see pictures of my case and details of cards and components inside the case (chasis). https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7lra4anyz5v ... WOpDCqINBpVQSVlF-HZa?dl=0

Sorry, which one you bought?

But if you are talking about CLUB 3D Radeon R7 250 1GB
DDR5 Low Profile, I can't find that particular CLUB 3D model in either eBay or Amazon.

But I did find this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-SHIP-Pow ... ain_0&hash=item339f3f76a1

I think this is the same card: http://www.amazon.com/Radeon-250-GDDR ... DMI-Low-Profile-pci-e-%2F

Would that work too?

didn't buy low profil gpu card, but full size one.

name is:

Club 3D AMD Radeon HD 7750 (1024 MB) (CGAX-7752)

Chip: Cape Verde Pro • Chiptakt: 800MHz, Boost: N/A • Speicher: 1GB GDDR5, 1125MHz, 128bit, 72GB/s •

www.amazon.co.uk/Club3D-Radeon ... it-Graphics/dp/B007A3SQ7Y

i'm sure low profile would work, but as spectre660 said, the gpu fane would be to close with the sata card. so better luck with full sized card

Thank you all for your answers. I managed to find and bought VisonTek AMD Radeon HD 7750 SFF 1GB x16 PCIe (900549 Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card), low profile.

Now I'll buy the SI drivers and wait to receive the card in about a week from now.
