I was wondering if (since some weeks ago?) other people were finding that YouTube videos played inside of Odyssey (thanks to that special Script) were now silent?
If not, then I guess that I've unintentionally broken something, somewhere... :-/
I just tried it, and I have audio. However, the volume level is really low despite the volume slider (in both AHI prefs and the youtube video) being cranked up to the max.
On 4.1FE, YouTube video starts silent. If I quit/restart mixer, the sound appears! Other strange behavior noticed, is the following: The Prefs/AHI "test sound" button won`t beep!
H/W: Sam440Flex
Ordell Robbie: Is she dead, yes or no? Louis: Pretty much.
Just tried a couple YouTube videos (including the old Amiga games compendium) with YT.rexx on my X1K... It all worked flawlessly within IBrowse. Both while having it make a page with all the video links as well as just "autoplaying" the videos automatically with MPlayer.
I'd suggest checking all your settings and making sure you have the latest copy of YT.rexx.
@Cass The sound works on my X1000, but I don't run mixer; just an older version of the mixer docky. I've always had to set the Music Unit to "Unit 0:HiFi 16 bit stereo++" and set Unit 0 to "hdaudio:HiFi 16 bit stereo++" for the AHI "test sound" button to work. My settings require that "SYS:Devs/AHI/device.audio" be present.
@xenic I had a similar idea while I was away: Sure enough, after checking AHI Prefs, I found that the "Music unit" had somehow become unassigned to any driver! After setting it to "hdaudio: HiFi 16bit Stereo++" AND increasing Volume from -96.5dB to 0.0dB, YouTube videos have sound again
