Just dropping in while I take a break from writing updates, writing the press, preparing tweets, etc. :)
The "backer character" is an exclusive character with a unique weapon that is only available to those backers who pledged for it.
The Amiga port will happen if we get funded; reaching the stretch goal would allow me to keep some of my saving ^_^ but I'm committed to making it happen since I was an A500 owner myself (though technically I shared ownership with my older brother ^_^)
Also the port is technically possible, as in, the engine and the game don't use any libraries or APIs which are not available on OS4 / MorphOS / AROS. The challenge will be getting it to run at a good framerate while preserving as much as possible from the other versions :) But that's where skills will make a difference ^_^'
since it is a co-op game, I sent a mail to co-optimus.com team so that they may list it on their homepage but so far, no answer and nothing on their main page ! fingers cross and wish you success !
@Lio thanks! we're currently at 90%, looks like it will be a fight to the last minute but we're trending in the green and I am a rather cheerful person by nature, so my confidence is high ^_^'
Does anyone know if a game that uses the Unity 3D engine could be ported to OS4? I asked the author of "Trial by Viking", kickstarter, and said he used Unity 3D, and does not exist for OS4. Finally he said, I'll look in to this, and see what I can do to help.

We don't have Unity or Unreal.
Unit is really just lots of C++ object classes that have methods that are triggered, when events happens, then there is script that is executed, that handles events.
Unity uses C# scripts, or what is called mono on Linux, we do not have that, because Microsoft thing. While the game look simple, they do require a lot of CPU power just for using Unity, they are bloated. That’s the tradeoff for using a nice GUI instead of coding from ground up.
Games that are based on Unity or Unreal is unlikely to get ported to AmigaOS. Essential components are missing to make that happen.
Porting a game without using Unity will require the developer to make something like Unity. If not it's not a port but a complete rewrite.

We're getting a "guest track" by Allister Brimble :)
And if any backers are reading this, we're aiming to have a "tech demo" run on AmigaOS before the end of the year so we will be able to refine the minimum specs ^_^
