UAE Install looking for OS
Just popping in

New to Amiga. I have E-UAE installed. It loads and runs to a point where it's asking for amigaos xl. I have a amigaforever cd.Where do I find such files? U-UAE is looking for the file where there is none. I have both adf and hdf files in a different path. Do I load those files from their path to a floppy? Thank you

@elchucko

Have you told E-UAE to look for Amigaos XL?

If, instead, you open the AF CD and navigate to Amiga Files > Shared > dir, there you will find Sys and Work directories.

Sys contains the OS and Work contains Documentation, and Software. You will also find a file called Disk.info - that's the icon file for that disk (Work). You will find this file also in Sys but it contains information relevant to Sys.

You will also need to tell E-UAE where to find the necessary ROMs (Amiga Files > Shared) for the machine you wish to emulate.You can copy them to a directory in E-UAE. Include also the rom.key file.

It may be easier to download something like Amikit or Amigasys,which are fully configured pre-built high end systems.

Best of luck.
