Oh, you want an update. You should have said

Saving of pages as text, source and PDF is now implemented, a lot of the graphical problems are sorted, HTTP authentication now works, mouse pointer changes over elements (although I could do with somebody designing better imagery), oh and you can now open it on the WB screen.

It still has bugs, it crashed on the first attempt at posting this update! I need to sort the caret out as well, it's driving me nuts.

Very impressive.
How long do you think before you release the next version?

Cheers.

I intend to release a proper 2.0 version (probably as a beta rather than "final") alongside NetSurf's 2.0 release. When is that? I hear you ask. Good question, I think September was mentioned but I may have imagined it.

Did you manage to solve the 100% cpu usage issue?

Yes, sorted yesterday. It runs off into code every 1/10 of a second or so to check for scheduled events currently, so I need to fix that as well but it's easy to do and the CPU usage is much better now when idle even with that temporary workaround in place.

WoW = World of Warcraft - is Chris porting that too?
Actually I asked Blizzard about WoW for the Amiga, they did reply and said no but at least they replied. They also said, at the time, that because the Apple Mac was PPC, if I had some sort of emulation they wouldn't mind me trying to get it running.

I was suitably impressed by that kind of response, it wasn't a "No you can only run it for target hardware or we'll rip your head off" kind of response I expect from large corps these days.
Kudos to them..

Sorry, went a bit OT there.

Just getting ANY answer is positive these days.

Will give Netsurf a try as soon as I have upgraded to OS4.1, really looking forward to that.

Any news on a new beta coming?

I saw that you did an awful lot of work on the Amiga port

A general question:
As NetSurf lacks (yet) a JavaScript engine, do you know if
the devs have decided which one they will use?
Spidermonkey comes to mind (but only becasue i know that
the AWeb effort is trying to implement it aswell - maybe
join forces?), or do they want to create their own?

Thanks a lot for the ongoing work, Chris, very much appreciated

I need to fix this damn cursor bug (it's probably an easy thing to do, just haven't got round to it)

Javascript - all I know is that it needs DOM to be implemented first, which appears to be some way off.

I might think about another beta at the end of the month, but definitely the cursor needs to be fixed.

What's left to do?

Are most of the crash bugs eliminated?

How can I prevent Netsurf from opening its own screen?
Netsurf looks nice and runs quite smooth on my very very very slow A4k (only 150MHz)
