298 32bit Ken's Icons . . .

It has come to my attention that some people are downloading AmiKit just to strip out my icons -- hopefully this will save them some time (plus, not all the icons are in AmiKit).

The link below is for everything I've painted so far. Not terriby organized -- and definitely a "work-in-progress" -- but they're all there.

OS3.x users: Install AfA now!! (otherwise, these will just look like ordinary single-state PNG icons) -- Plus, the AfA icon.library is faster than PowerIcons and adds OS4 icon compatibility.

OS4.x users: These require the PNG plugin.

AROS users: These "should" work, since they were painted using a port of YOUR icon.library -- Good luck!

I've got another 125-150 icons to go to finish AmiKit -- then I'll turn my attention to OS4 (IF I can get my hands on OS4, that is!)

Please note that I'm painting more icons every day, so this is a "temporary" download link -- I'll probably delete it very soon.

Download!

Your icons suck in Euae, but are great in OS4!

Have you tried AfA rather than PowerIcons/IconBeFast? (AfA is faster than the PowerIcons/IconBeFast combo)

In addition, my new icons are PNG -- so they should be the same as any other PNG icons with regard to display speed.

I'll look into that! Thanks for the info! In a non-JIT system, the small byte size icons work better for speed. WinUAE & JIT is a nice combo.

I downloaded the Amikit updates. Love your icons! I'm going to 'trickout' OS4 with a new AmiKit theme and your icons!

I can't see myself returning to 256 color icons at this point.

Like I said in the first post -- I'm just painting AmiKit at the moment. I'd also like to paint OS4 (if I can get my hands on it) -- but my future plans are undecided.

BTW -- apparently these icons don't work with AROS after all (ironically).

But maybe you can complete the actual package, I have the 3.0 Beta and I think that some icons are missing

Where could I download the last Ken's 256-color set (3.0 + released additions)? It seems I've lost my two .lha -packages consisting of those...

iirc and it was said in this very thread about a month ago
that the icon set 3.0 was not yet released.

I could be wrong, though!

Well, I might be wrong with the version number... but if I remember correctly these 256-color icons I'm looking for were version 3 too and never got released as complete package and now they have progressed to these 32bit icons.

So, if the original "work-in-progress" versions of 256-color version with 1 or 2 small additions as lha -packages are still available somewhere to download, I'd be very grateful!
