Evo Theme
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

See User information
I have finally achieved a great system configuration as I have been looking for for a long time.
Now I was dedicating myself to the GUI with the replacement of icons and everything related to the graphic part of 4.1
I chose "EVO THEME"
but I realized that if I delete a file for example
no graphic icon associated with file deletion appears in the requester.
While with the old theme that I used before "SILVER BLACK" the icon appears in the file deletion requester.

I wanted to ask if anyone uses EVO THEME and has encountered this problem.
Or the EVO THEME theme is still being finalized.
Thank you.

The theme looks different than it is designed. I think the path is wrong. It seems all graphics for gadgets in windows are missing. I am not shure why your icon is missing but we should try to get the theme work before.

From which page you have downloaded it? Currently it is only at os4welt.de available but i will upload it soon to os4depot.

The archive has to unoacked here...
sys:Prefs/Presets/Themes/EVO

... this should be the place where all files have to be. When it is on a different place, images can not loaded.

Hi,

Requester's pictures are in a drawer called "Requester" in SYS:Prefs/Presets.
Maybe you moved it or deleted it by mistake?

@imagodespira
Nice Theme!

Petrol.

@Petrol: Thanks ;)

I did a quick upload here, maybe a new download works better:

www.amiboing.de/data/themes/evo/EVO.lha

Unpack it that all content is in : sys:Prefs/Presets/Themes/EVO

(it should unpack to sys/prefs/presets and there should be a Themes/Evo drawer if i remember right)

www.amiboing.de/data/themes/evo/EVO_MUI.lha

Mui adjustments to match Evo Theme. Within the archive you can see the needed structure. After all files are there, in MUI Prefs on top at "Settings" should be an EVO Entry.

Screenshot:
http://www.amiboing.de/data/themes/evo/evo1.jpg

NOTE: I have to make some minor adjustments (a arrow within a workbench window is not in the right position). Also in Notepad, the cursor is very light. But maybe i can not adjust this because in an "old" theme, the coders seems to make the color combinations only with a dark ugly gray... when i light it up (like in evo), then the cursor does not match. Would be nice to have a cursor pen (in string gadget there seems to be a routine which colors the cursor to black if background and curser color are to similar).

It is also not final, if i have time i will upload it to os4depot. This version only should be a test for me and os4welt users, but it seems some people want to try it...

@Petrol
thanks for the advice,
I go back a few backup.
because requester always appeared before
I probably must have messed with the installation or "service pack 2" with "Enhancer" or something like that.
because even selecting the standard themes of 4.1
the problem remains.

Tthanks again for the advice.

I remember once you had also a dark border theme at your website, but now it is long gone. Is it still available somewhere?
Are you interested to upload them at amiga-look.org as well?

But the background image still not loaded for some reason ...

Can't load image
"SYS:Prefs/Presets/Themes/EVO/Data/Backdrops/evo_1920x1080.png"

I'm still using a 1680*1050 resolution

@All
I apologize
I'm probably the one who is confusing
when you delete a file does the requester appear with an image before deleting the file?
or is there no requester for this?
thanks and sorry again.

I have this path for requester:

sys:prefs/Presets/Requester/
error.png
insert disk.png
warning.png
info .png
question.png

because I restored a backup from August 2020 and the problem remains.

May I propose a couple of changes on MUI config?

1. The images section would be nice to make them with transparent background, and give it some horizontal margin.
2. The Text gadgets do have a border, but the sliders do not have any. Nor the tabs. It would be nice to add there the same border, so the can stand out as well.

Just my opinion. It is your child afterall.

Also, found in MUI prefs, the window background path is set to:
Workbench:MUI/Images/newDefaultEvo

but it should be:
Sys:MUI/Images/Evo

Also in MUI, the Screen Jump and Preferences buttons for the windows are missing a new design, or there is a problem to load.

Also, the buttons background is set to:
Workbench:MUI/Images/EVO

but it should be:
Sys:MUI/Images/EVO
