Screencasting

It is possible with current Srec, record the 1024x768x24 video with 24 fps ? (format does not matter, i will convert it in any format i need later). I mean not parts of screen, but just all the 1024x768 area.

Becouse when i want to show somethink to ppls, i have 2 ways:
1. grab on camera (even with good camera, it's not so "real").
2. use SRec. But last time when i use it , even on my peg2 with 1ghz, i need set skip frames, etc, for more or less "ok" quality and for 1024x768 it was pretty slow ..

I think your expectations are quite unrealistic, encoding video is a high CPU activity, my p3 1.1Ghz server can only just keep up with my webcam at 320x240x30fps so expecting any existing amiga hardware to do this, and do some reasonable work to record in the first place is somewhat optimistic!

Perhaps if you dumped raw video to the buffer with no compression, you might do better, but then you'd fill you hard disk very fast!
