USB (DOT4) Printers & OS4.1 **Testing in Progress**

That will be great if you could found a printer for RWO (second hand, old, spare or should be paid at low prize,....).

Let RWO put his point of view onthis thread and if money needed for the printer, maybe 2-3 users here could help...

Maybe the best is to found a good list of DOT4 printer available (don't know if the link I have given on one of my previous answer is correct).

BTW Raw and isochronous transfert with USB (webcams) is planned for AOS4.x ???

Money for a second hand printer for Sirion support

OR

Money for second hand USB hardware (printer, webcam,..) for Sirion support

USB Hardware is hardware who need special class for running on the Amiga (like the class of poseidon).

well originally it was for getting some cash for rwo to make a driver to get USB DOT4 printers (HP etc.) to work with Sam's USB port in OS4.1...but please add anything else you think is needed in this thread and perhaps we can agree on a proper description..

What would be an appropriate printer and what is the price?

I have two colorlasers: HP LaserJet 2600n and a Brother HL-4040CN, Both costs in Denmark around ?300.
The LaserJet2600 is a good candidate.

The important thing to check is if the printer comes with toner cartridges when you buy it (often only half full).

Everytime I change catridges in my printes (once a month) I pay more for the cartridges than I paid for the printer!

But we must be sure that the support DOT4
