It doesn't make sense that this would effect USB (although driver bugs don't *have* to make sense!).

I get stable keyboard+mouse by having both go through a USB hub (actually a KVM switch) into the bottom (rear) USB port. Due to a bug in my KVM switch (nothing to do with OS4), I also had to follow these instructions.

P.S. From what I have seen, USB is very unreliable on a (probably unfixed) Micro AmigaOne even with OS4.1u2, but as said before not noticed any problems with my Sam440 (as long as I don't remove memory stick before it has finished writing!).

Just as you said.

I tried the *link* stuff without success. Perhaps not all Sams are created
equal. (?)

Here's another wierd thing. Since making the mods I mentioned, both
DVPlayer and Mplayer now keep the sound in sync with the video.
Before it would drift radically. And playback is smoother.

I don't know where this bug is, ROM, hardware, OS, USB stack,,,,
but there is one.
