Thanks. The datatype will automagically use the new version with libvpx.so.0.9.5 copied to SObjs: and the following commands issued:
delete sobjs:libvpsx.so.0
makelink sobjs:libvpx.so.0 sobjs:libvpx.so.0.9.5 soft

Um, I got as far as looking at some 68k datatype source code. Saw 68k asm and got scared.

That's a shame. Perhaps someone else wouldn't mind writing one? I've compiled 0.9.5 for 68k now.
