@BSzili Thanks for your quick reply. I already run a media server on a PC, and was just hoping to use my A1 as a player. Not being a programmer, I bow to your knowledge as to what is not possible or practical.

@busytech Okay, so you only need the client? Then the part about the closed source server is not really relevant here. I'll put the client on my list, but can't promise anything for the time being.

@BSzili
I have no sound in OpenJK
My card is a EnvyHT24
What should I put in .conf file to have sound please ?
For SOF 1 and 2, Raven Software told me that we should ask to the studio who producted the game, but the doors are closed..
Thanks

Yes, I let a message to Activision :
Hi there, unfortunately we are unable to get this to you, you would need to contact the game studio that produced the game. ^KO
I send you a mail

@BSzili
Time to revive this thread
I know it was mentioned once already, but a new port of OpenTTD would be very welcome...the port on OS4Depot crashes hard once one tries to change the window size/switch to fullscreen

@Raziel Back in day OpenTTD crashed because it didn't lock the surface. Dunno if that is still the case.

@tlosm Transfusion is multiplayer only, without a very active playerbase.

Hej, xoreos lead dev here. Is that "nope" to xoreos because it's still in its early stages? Yeah, none of the games are currently "playable" in a recognizable shape. And if the current development speed holds, they won't be for the foreseeable future. We desperately need more contributors. :) Or is there something hindering porting? Is there anything I can do make sure xoreos is and will stay portable to AmigaOS 4? Portability is rather important to me. I admit, I know nothing about AmigaOS, so I don't know the limitations. I would assume that OpenGL would probably be an issue? Currently, xoreos runs on my own naive fixed-function OpenGL 1.2 (+ some extensions) code, but it's being overhauled to utilize a shader pipeline. The target would be OpenGL 3.2, with an OpenGL 2.1 fallback path. Would that work on your hardware and OS? For window handling, xoreos uses SDL2 (but allowing for optionally compiling with SDL 1.2 is on the TODO list, albeit quite low-priority) and there's about a dozen of other libraries it needs (listen on our wiki). If there's anything that poses a problem on AmigaOS 4 and how improve on that, please tell me. In the future, I would certainly like to have the codebase portable to AmigaOS 4 and provide official binaries for both xoreos and the xoreos-tools collection, if that's in any way possible. TL;DR: I'd welcome any advice on how to improve portability in xoreos. Thanks. :)
