I agree. List of archive contents like on Aminet would be nice to have on OS4Depot too.

I don't know for other, but personnaly I'm copying the contents of the readme in the appropriate field at upload time.
I guess that if uploader did not bother to write a description neither did he to write a readme inside the archive...

About the archive content however I agree : would be usefull.

When I download archives from Aminet, I always download the appropriate .readme file along with it, so that the dir that contains the archives also contains a buncha readme files.

That's a really good idea. I have folders full of downloads, but can never remeber what they are by their often cryptic file names. Wish I had thought of that years ago. /me slaps forhead. DOH!

Well, at least on the Amiga, browsers typically add the originating URL to the file's comments field in the directory...

That's one idea I wish that Microsoft had stolen for use in Windoze... :-|
