Edit:
History:
2.13 (25.10.2008)
- Disabled the normal and wait mouse pointers. They are still included
as Resources/disabled-pointerCursor.info and disabled-waitCursor.info,
if you want to use them in OWB instead of the system ones rename them
to pointerCursor.info and waitCursor.info (bugs.os4depot.net issue
#34).
- Added a frame around the status bar (bugs.os4depot.net issue #33).
- Updated to SVN revision 600.
- Added PUBSCREEN tooltype for changing the name of the public screen.
- For font families without bold/italic fonts OWB now constructs them
from the regular font of the family instead of using fonts from the
fallback font families.
- Added displaying the source.
- Added support for external bookmark tools, tooltype BOOKMARKCOMMAND,
the first %s is replaced by OWB's ARexx port name (bugs.os4depot.net
issue #13).
- Included Paul E. Bloedel's AddressBook.
- Included Fredrik Wikstrom's OWBLauncher tool with the splash image
from Martin 'Mason' Merz (bugs.os4depot.net issue #32).

Posting from it now.

I like the boomark menu item, where the bookmark appears when you need it and closes when you have used it. This means it doesn't take up screen space. Really great.

replying with 213.

what's the syntax needed for changing the toooltype for BOOKMARKSCOMMAND?

Do I just replace "%s" with OWB.1, or OWB.rexx, or what?

PEB's address book opens up on top of the running OWB, but every time I choose an address, it pops up a requestor window saying I have to have OWB running before the button will work.

Sorry, I'm REXX illiterate!!

Actually, if you use the default setting, and if you use the address book included in the OWB archive (not the old one on OS4 Depot), everything should work fine; but you need to launch the address book from OWB itself (not through the AddressBook icon)---using either the menu option or Amiga+B.

Thanks, Paul. I don''t remember if I used the old one in it's entirety or just copied over my address list. I'll try using all the stuff from the 213 archive.

Great work again. Is there anyway we could launch the program through clicking an image in the toolbar.

@Joerg
Thanks for your work on OWB, this version really flies. Look forward to downloads being implemented, then OWB will be my default browser until then I need IBrowse or Netsurf to download. Great work.

I agree that it would be nice to have a button on at the top (perhaps just to the left of the search image) to launch the address book; but this is something that J?rg would have to implement.

OK, progress, it opens and works using this newest version of your program. I had gone back to an older version in order to use my accumulated addresses.

However, adding in addresses from notepad to the quicklist doesn't result in any changes. WHen I click on a blank link, I get a pop up saying it cannot load reqtools.library. (I have version 39.3) and complains about line 330 of addressbook.hws (I assume a Holloywood script file?) "in function: String Request".

You also need reqtools.l.main, as well as reqtools.library.
I have the same version of reqtools.library as you, and it works fine.
You can get it from Here on OS4Depot.

That did it. Thanks, Swoop!

Easy surfing to my favorite sites along with the latest program improvements now makes OWB the browser of choice for me.

I encounter random crashes when using OWB for a long time. Without any warning, on any site I visit, OWB crashes.

I uploaded two bookmarks related and one fastlink app in single OWBBook archive to os4depot a week ago. Not because there's anything wrong with other implementations. But I wanted to be able to use IBrowse's bookmarks directly. And also I wrote them in C so they start fast and are small in size.

@joerg
Feature request: When OWB starts the bookmarks app it would be nice if it would give the name of the public screen where OWB is opened as an argument also.

I miss 2.14 already

Besides uploads/downloads, does it support/will support login to apache protected .htaccess pages?
