OWB 3.11

New 3.11 from Joerg.

3.11 (18.4.2009)
- Updated to SVN revision 915.
- Fixed bugs.os4depot.net issues #120 and #129.
- Updated about: contents.
- Improved font selection if the webcore fonts are not installed.
- Changed rendering method reducing the CPU usage if there are several
changes, for example GIF anims, done at the same time, and when
entering texts.
- Included new icons, toolbar and scrollbar images and scripts from
Martin Merz.

Using OWB 3.11 right now. Seems much faster for typing a post than OWB 3.10. Will comment again later after I've driven it around the net abit.

Just installed and looking good.

However it still consumes vast amounts of memeory on site like facebook. Progressively using up my memory after about 7 or 8 pages. Eventually it'll take my Amiga down if I don't pay attention and restart. (256 system) Is it cacheing in memory? If so how soon till a disk based cache/ or way limiting the memory used for cache? All memory is returned on quitting the program.

3.11 fix my problem with all previus OWBs (i was have slowindowns becouse of AISS toolbar before, so, must to remove it). But 3.11 runs in 1 second with toolbar (DACA and OS4 ones, with AISS still these slowingdowns), etc right now. Also icons looks more professional. The new (?) mouse pointer when i can press on link looks good too.

The only one question, how i can choice fonts which i want to use ? Becouse i see in readme somethink like "added font selection", but cant found where.

i have a crash (DSI) if i try this site www.ansa.it with these version 3.11 and 3.10, with old 3.7 this site works fine, the new cosmetic os4 like toolbars aren't perfect, however thanks for this upgrade.

I have been using OWB 3.11 for about two hours. Seems to be very stable so far. Typing posts at amiga.org, amigaworld.net and amigans.net is working just fine. Typing speed is just like OWB 3.7. I have also downloaded some stuff and that works just fine.

So far I have seen GR on two websites. Both sites work fine on OWB 3.7.

One site was reported by Tomas over at amigaworld.

If I go directly to that link, I get a GR. However, if I start at the top and work my way down through the website most of the pages are just fine. Then I reach a point where I can pick a station. Does not matter which station I choose, I get a GR. Does not matter which country or city I choose, the final page gives a GR. Not sure what is different about the final page, may be different fonts or advertizing.

The other site where I get a GR is a very large collection of photos. I think I'm simply running out of RAM at that site.

MicroA1 with 750 GX and 256 MB RAM running AmigaOS 4.1 and OWB 3.11.

Does anyone else have a prolem with OWB updating it's url bar / gadget whilst your entering anew url?

This occurs to me when I start to enter a new url whilst the old is still loading, once the old one has finished loading the url gadget gets updated even if you are currently editing it! The number of times I've gone to ukfacebook.com is getting rediculous!

OWB 3.11 crashes everytime (with a GrimReaper) I wanna see a website. Only the about-page works. The same with OWB 3.10. Both versions are to 100% unusable for me!

3.9 works fine!

I use a SAM with OS4.1.
