Amiga Cygnix

I just installed Amiga Cygnix along with Gnumeric, AbiWord, Sodipodi and Gimp on my PegII running OS4.1. I have to say that this package is one of the most professional that I've ever seen, regardless of platform. Installation was a breeze. My hat is off to Edgar Schwan. It's nice having a modern office suite under AmigaOS again.

Indeed, what Edgar is doing is really "top-notch", he should be credited more. (Hint: it's also possible to send him donations)

Here is tommysammy's speed tips page in English.

I was a bit puzzled as to how to start AbiWord/etc after those modifications. You have to start them from Workbench, by double-clicking on (for example) Cygnix: Software/AbiWord-2.6/Start_abiword.bat

WARNING: If you don't like the drastic changes that are made, then will need to restore a backup of the following two folders:
Sys:Prefs/Env-Archive/Cygnix/
Cygnix:Home/root/.AbiSuite/

Not yet had a chance to compare speeds.
