up-to-date binutils package (SOLVED)

Where can i find one?

The latest SDK has only a rather old one inside and at least "ar" is at version 0.2d, which is too old for my needs.
(One of the projects i'm trying to port depends on "cru" as options for ar, the version inside only covers "r" and thus throws an error message)

The 2.14 patch on OS4Depot doesn't work for me either because i neither have "bzcat" nor "patch" installed (where xould i find those for a start?).

Thanks for any pointers

What version of the SDK are you using? My "ar" is version 2.18 and I don't remember updating it or anything (SDK v53).

The latest from the Hyperion site

It stopped working after i reinstalled the SDK, so i believed that i had the updated package from somewhere else...

I just checked the v53 from Hyperion..."ar" being part of the vbcc package, there is only version 0.2d in, does it reside elsewhere aswell?

It was a faulty SDK installation.

"ar" was never copied, instead a softlink was created pointing to nothing

Thanks for the help
