I'm more interested in being able to use external images (have a set ready to go!). No idea if/when that will ever happen, though.

Zune is the AROS MUI clone.

However, this is a port to "Classic AmigaOS" (maybe just 3.9 -- not sure).

The advantages are (as far as I can see) that you get all those cool visuals effects that MUI for OS4 & MOS have, it's still developed for AmigaOS3, and it's free!

Course, the fact that Microshaft independently glommed onto the name Zune for their new soon-to-be-a-flop MP3 player might be a problem.

Any talk of a possible new name for Zune, the GUI?
