Whadya mean "deskto icons"? panel or the desktop itself?

lxpanel config is here:
HOME:.config/lxpanel/default/panels/panel


About desktop (in case of idesk) HOME:.idesktop/*.lnk

i mean dektop..not panel..all I have in my Home:idesktop/ drawer is 'shutdown.lnk"...don't see any other icons there

this icon is te only one that "shipped" in default configuration of AmiCygnix.
I had no other icons and one of the first things to do was to delete the shutdown.lnk.

Can you send a screenshot or host it online and post a link to it?

Desktop icon description files (used by the desktop manager "idesk") are normally located in "Cygnix:Home/root/.idesktop". All my packages do store their icons there.

Additionally there is another possible location: "Cygnix:CygnixPPC/share/idesk". But I don't use it. The only icon file in it is "default.lnk", which is used, if there is no file in "Cygnix:Home/root/.idesktop".

If you want to remove ALL icons you must deactivate "idesk" in the preference editor "myX11setup"!

ah problem solved...I had to go through workbench to see the .lnk files as for some reason they didnt show up when using DOpus ?
