Yes, just email to the address on the website (phonenumber@tpc.int or @phonenumberinreversewithdots.tpc.int or something). I think it sends a coverpage which contains an advert and then sends the email itself.

The other option of course, is good old STFax, which should work on OS4.

I always wanted to do this from a business point of view... ie, scan and send it through the net to an actual landline fax machine (for people who will never be cpu savvy - we still operate a fax because some people still prefer to use it *boggle*)

But as far as I know to do what I want means you need some provider service? does anyone know another way? or how do you do it

Just re-read your post there Chris, can we elaborate more? LOL

That's exactly what this service does.

Demon used to run the service in the UK but I'm pretty sure they stopped that service. Whether somebody else took over, or whether it just now doesn't work, I couldn't say.

You have a possibility at that website to check if the area is covered. For 3 numbers in the US only one was reachable.
I'll try to dig up STFax, which i think i bought.

I tried a downloaded version, but it asks for a key. Has not a public key been released?

iirc STFax was queued by ACube for an OS4 port, but that never saw the light of day and ACube have since removed any information about it (but maybe i'm not looking hard enough?)

About a free keyfile...
STFax is still being sold so i doubt that the copy you downloaded was clean

Well, if it asks for a key, it's probably not a cracked version, but more like a demo or something?

Best regards,

I previously used GPFax for years. The GUI is outdated but it worked; even on my MicroA1/OS4. However, I can't get it to work on my SAM Flex because of the 4-wire serial port that doesn't support hardware handshake. I'm not sure if STFax will work with SAM either so I would recommend trying a demo before purchasing the program. Now I use my HP all-in-one printer to send and receive faxes. My only problem is that there doesn't seem to be any way to redirect incoming faxes to the flash drive. I have to scan the printed fax if I want to save a digital copy.

EDIT: In case you don't know, you need a fax capable modem to use a program like GPFax or STFax. Few people have a serial port modem anymore because they are using a high-speed Internet connection. That may be one reason why STFax plans were shelved; you would need to have a serial port modem or buy one if you buy a fax program.

A bit off topic, I remember Acube used to have
software section and there announced new OS 4 faxing software using their Soft3d Italian division, but it dissapeared about this year.
