filesave.audio - does it work?

When I choose any filesave mode in AHI prefs and hit the test button, it renders a sample in the correct file and format, but the length is off. It becomes a four minute sample, when even four seconds should suffice. If I try with another application, the results are only weirder.

Can I circumvent this?

Audio Evolution uses filesave modes to save to AIFF. I've never experienceed any issues with it. Having said that I doubt if I ever tried to create such a small sample!

Perhaps the size of the smallest sample is affect by the AHI buffer size? How big are your buffers?

JUst tried it myself and reread your message, I read 4 minute as 4 second, that's clearly not a buffer size issue.

filesave.audio does not work in real time, unlike other drivers so, it may be that the time of the usual test tone, is enough to render out this 4 minute sample.

filesave.audio does work, though, as I said above AE4 uses it too good effect.
