WiiU CPU

Thought I would put it out there I found it interesting that Nintendo chose the Wii U CPU to be based on IBM's latest PowerPC technology, the POWER7 architecture. It has four USB 2.0 ports, if only it had a hard drive although it does have 8gb and 32gb flash storage configurations. It also has an AMD GPU so could it be a AmigaOS port candidate?

Ah well just read some more of the specs of the WiiU the down side is the specialised Optical drive which is not a standard DVD. So in effect makes it useless as a viable platform.

Hardly surprising - the original Wii and GameCube were both PowerPC based, I think the PS3 and Xbox360 are too.

They are all closed systems though, so legitimately there's no way to put a different OS on them, and there's no chance Hyperion would waste time/money on such a project.
