Would be nice to have this version for AOS 4 even though the old versions play well still. The new savesystem sounds nice. A classic! Thanks for posting this info.

One of fave games but 1 player was annoying so I used to start in 2 player and get the 2nd player killed so I could take all the credits and power ups. Probably made the game a lot easier, I think sometimes I had 30+ lives by the end. Once I was awarded an extra life as the screen was fading out after I'd defeated chaos engine.

Good that their sticking to the original formula but I hope the graphics get a significant boost.

This "remake" appears to be a low-cost (budget) port to the PC, as an attempt to test the water (for perhaps better ports) :
http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/07/11/new ... devotion-to-the-original/

The graphics appear to be the original ones, but with some automated filters enhancing them (and the option to turn them off if you don't like them).

The levels & general difficulty seem to be unchanged (risky IMHO).

I'd have suspected they were using an Amiga emulator, if it wasn't for the fact that they support networked multiplayer.
