Have you ever wondered what is the speed difference between emulated and "real" Amiga? And what about the performance of AmiKit compared to the other alternatives?

Well, AmiGod 2 wasn't very useful in the first versions of Euae ; slower than an old 486 PC?!

Cannot you run AmiGOD on A1, outside euae? I would be interested in AmigaOne's CPU marks and Intuition marks.

I think the intuition speed of a Real Amiga4000 is interesting compared to the emulated boxes.

Some kind of A1/Euae Benchmark program would be nice. I know that Euae with generate about a 4 degrees (Celsius) rise in temperature. The CPUTemp.docky shows that! Euae is hot I tell you!

Only 2D graphs? How many "AmiGod marks" have you achieved? You can find such an info if you enter the AmiGod database. The AmiKit comparison graphs are based on the marks.

There are 3 software tests and 3 hardware test. Can't make any hardware tests, the program is way out of date. I have the impression I'm running an Amiga 5000!

How does it compare with OS4 on an A1?

It would be funny if emulation on a fast x86 will eventually beat a dedicated PPC mobo like SAM.

And while I'm at it. How does the Eye Candy in AmiKit compare to the presentation of OS4?

I don?t think you can trust the results being correct.

Because AmigaOS4 behaves differently when it comes to timing, many classic programs contain bugs, they will not read the timer devices as documented, players like Eagleplayers and 303tracker will run too fast under OS4.

1ST: problem: The eclockval structure consists of two long words, but older programs often do there calculation based on static number of tics/sec, or just one of the tow long words.

2EN: problem is JIT often generates some overhead, when generating code, the test routines might not give optimal results.

3RD: Interpreted emulation is way slower then native.

4TH: The application might be using CIA chips, and under OS4 the CIA chips are emulated using ciagent prog, this might not give 100% accurate results.

On WinUAE you will not get ABIWorld and Gimp.

Oh yes I know you can use windows programs but don?t you think that kills the point of AmigaOS running in the first place?

Forget AmiGOD2; it's old and out-of-date. I has nothing to do
with OS4. I wish some A1200s with OS4 running would make some test!
I would like to see how an A1 compares to the classical Amiga!!!

It looks great, but the price is JIT speed; there is no JIT in Euae.

kitty power! :/
