@All
As Raziel still continues to update ScummVM, I give it a go latest os4depot release (v2.1.0), and it now supports quite a few really good games. Before it, all was known that it supports full-throttle, sam&max,7guest, and all those old quest kind games. But today I tried some more stuff, which was around the of end 2000, with all "bunch of CDs" when CD_ROMs on PC start to be popular for real.

I made a video where I have shown how some games work on x5000 over the latest ScummVM from os4depot, in window modes, in fullscreen, everything in 1920x1080 (and when I do fullscreen in games in the video, I scale them to 1920x1080 as well).

There is a list of games in the video:

Neverhood (1996)
Phantasmagoria 2 (1996)
Riven: The Sequel to Myst (1997)
Blade Runner (1997)
The Prince and the Coward (1998)

Video is 14 minutes of length, and there is:

Thanks to Raziel for keeping our version up2date !

Is AGS by ScummVM happening for AmigaOS?

Thank you, but I'm not really updating anything, just recompiling and occasionally fixing (very) little things.

But since the latest GCC fixes by one of the ScummVM devs (lephilosophe) I'm now able to produce working shared builds, which will not only take a load off of ram usage (both during linking and running the app), but also maintenance time.

@Thematic

As a matter of fact, yes, though partly...
Support is already in the latest bleeding edge builds.
Unfortunately, right now, roughly 95% of the AGS games load to a black screen on AmigaOS4, hopefully it's an endian issue which can be resolved, but that is to be determined.

Some games run, with decent speed, probably getting better with optimizations later on.

Nice games to come

Don't give up on static builds too plz :) With shared ones, there will be all that mess with sobjs, so may be worth create 2 different releases: static and shared ones. And with shared one, probably include in the scummvm archive "sobjs" directory with all necessary and 100% working sobjs with.

Eh...sobjs within the app archive is the only way to go with shared builds actually.
Not everyone has all (if any) of the locally linked sobjs available on their installation.

So, yes, there won't be a shared release without a sobjs directory...testing since a few weeks and working great so far.

Static builds will always be available through buildbot...probably jit with all the bells and whistles at first, but still.

btw, if you're ever in need of doing a shared build port (over a static one) you can use this script
https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/blo ... /amigaos/Ext_Inst_so.rexx
i wrote for scummvm.

It takes care of the shared objects that were linked into your binary.
No need to keep track of which .so or what version you were linking the binary with, just give the binary name and destination directory as options and it will copy the designated .so libraries to your destination...easy.
