X5000/Cyrus+ sold out?!

Has the first batch of Cyrus+ boards already been sold out...? X5000 and Cyrus+ have recently dissappeared from the product selection of AmigaKit.

Will there now be a production run of the long-awaited quadcore Cyrus board ?-)

BTW, how about the EU-shop of AmigaKit...? It was mentioned here earlier in this year.

Thanks for the tip! But do they have the right to sell X5000 to all european countries..? Some dealers are not allowed to sell outside their own district.

Is there a direct email for Relec? I have earlier tried to contact them using the form on their site but never got answer.

I have to confess I'm surpriced if the whole batch of 500 mobos is already liquidated, considering the price... I would have guessed only 50-70% of them are already sold.

A-Eon had also plans for a X5000+, with a new sound card etc... What happens now, if they do not have anymore Cyrus boards for it...?

I truly hope that NG hardware successors will have a more practical form factor. FlexATX doesn't fit in most MiniITX/DTX cases, while being way too small for a microATX one. Full ATX is not perfect either: being just too big, it's hard to find a case that doesn't look like a tank. I'd love to see a microATX-sized X5000 successor, preferably rid of the useless Xena/Xorro nonsense.

We are done with PCI, so it be nice to just remove this.

Yes USB3.0 be nice, but technical we plug that into one of the free PCIe slots.

Yes, MicroATX is the right way to go. And get rid of the Xorro fiasco.
