Ok i finally got my Radeon RX560 card for my AmigaOne X5000. I guess i have to to something to get this to work properly. I get the bootscreen but then it stops with this picture.
@Joeld Don't mess it with RadeonHD, which is indeed v1,v2, and v3. V1 and V2 obsolete and have bugs, so you should have V3.7 at minimum for RadeonHD. But as you have Radeon RX, you can skip that.
For Radeon RX, there should be a 2.x version. 2.4 is in Enhancer 2.0, and 2.5 was released via updater a few days ago. So at first 2.4, then update to 2.5
Can i remove MODULE Kickstart/RadeonHD.chip from kicklayout? Under screens it still says "RadeonHD 7700" and i cant change it. In the monitor folder i have RadeonHD 7700 but i cant find any RadeonRX 560.
@Joeled Btw, dont forget to set in prefs:powermanagment settings to HIGH, save, reboot and check again that it saves. Or in almost all 3d stuff including games you will have low FPS. That because powermanagment works wrong at the moment and didn't raise resources when need it (maybe due to missing DMA, that unknown currently)
@joeled Yeah, of course you need to remove it, but it can play tricks on you, like, it called radeonhd, named like it, but system already use it for radeonrx. I have that kind of mess when plays with different card. You may try to rename it, and change tooltypes, or simple delete and copy fresh radeonrx.info. But its common that you may need to fix some stuff in process too.
I prefer to push up this thread instead of opening a new one.
A couple of day ago I installed a Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 560 in my X5000 and the card has been immediately recognized (i had modified the kicklayout file adding the RadeonRX.chip after the RadeonRD.chip). My previous card installed was a RadeonHD 4670 (chip RV730)
I have anyway the following issues:
- I have the monitor file of RV730, but I cannot create a new one specific fon Radeon RX 560. How can I generate a monitor screen for Radeon RX 560 without re-installing OS4.1?
- I have always cpu at 100% without making anything, also after a fresh restart of AmigaOS 4.1 FE
- The last the worst, with this gfx installed the audio card installed in PCI-Express 1x doesn't work anymore, no sound coming out from speakers. If I put back the RadeonHD 4670 it works again normally.
Any suggestion, in special mode for the last point?
I only have a solution for the monitor file issue. Just call the board name "Radeon" inside the monitor tooltypes. Nothing more. With this you can use the same monitor file for all your gfx cards without changing anything to the OS or reinstalling. The gfx driver is smart enough to skip unsupported resolutions.
100% issue...try to turn INTERRUPTS off (or on) in the monitors tooltypes and try again.
The audio issue might be caused by the 1000% cpu, so try to sort this one first

Ok done, thank you

This doesn't work, unfortunately

Also this problem still present, I'm waiting for a SoundBlaster Audigy PCI to replace with my actual sound card
What card do you use? RX 560 (this thread) or RX 550 (the other thread about fan noise)?
What INTERRUPT setting do you use?
Did you check (probably stupid question) that the sound card is seated correctly and doesn't touch the RX card?
Other than that the only other thing i could think of is the sound driver is playing tricks on you together with the RX driver...but that is a far stretch
