can't copy/paste from AbiWord to Claws mail?

strange as I've never tried it before but tonight I had to copy/paste large text to an email and as title said I couldn't do it? Tried Amiga-C/ Amiga-V...I then tried to copy it to Multi-Edit so i could send it via Simple Mail and still couldn't do it...??? oh well maybe it's late or Halloween ...still crazy

CTRL+C / CTRL+V in Windows / Linux world.

Even some ported text editors only support "CTRL", bit annoying, not knowing what keys to press, I agree. sloppy ports.

Abiword is amicygnix?

ah mystery solved thanks! I just ended up saving the info I needed as a txt file and added it to the email as an attachment

Basically all GTK 2 applications on AmiCygnix support the Amiga-C and Amiga-V keys. Only if you choose a menu item like "Edit/Copy", the text is not copied into the Amiga clipboard.

But it can happen, that it does not work, if you copy text with non latin chars in it (or something else, which is not supported). AmiCygnix tries to convert the UTF-8 text to ISO-8559-1 and if it fails, you have no content in the Amiga clipboard.
