Re: Hollywood 4.5 out now
Can it be used as a video editing software like on pc's. For example load several avi/mp4 etc and have a timeline. Put some music over it. Effects etc ?
Making own music videos, when someone marries and want to make a dvd with photos and video with subtitles effects etc. |

Re: Hollywood 4.5 out now
First of all I want to congratulate Andreas and Airsoft Softwair with the release of Hollywood 4.5
We (Ferrule Media) have been allowed to use v. 4.5 for some time developing our latest software. It feels great to be able to use Amigas to develop commercial software! I can assure you that Hollywood is getting better and better by each relase - Andreas Falkenhahn is truely an amazing coder! hehe.. it seems that alot of great stuff is happening in the amigascene these days! I do hope alot of os4 /morphOS users buys this software and take part of the great Hollywood community ! best regards Torgeir Vee Ferrule Media www.ferrule-media.no |

Re: Hollywood 4.5 out now
One of the real benefits of using Hollywood is the feature that makes it possible to save executables for several platforms.
When it comes to our infochannel Dental Kanal we are able send demos of the product as either windows or mac-executables. The real product however is sold with a SAM 440ep 667mhz running os4.1. The presentation is running in the resolution 1366x768. Since we use hardware-accelerated crossfade-effects it does need alot of gfx-memory ? the sam has got 64mb gfx-mem. For people lucky enough to own os4 I have uploaded a few example executables of the os4-version. This is ment as an example of what is possible with Hollywood 4.5. On our homepage you will also be able to download pc/mac-versions so that you may compare the different versions. The presentations may be paused using ?space? and moved forward/backward using the left or right arrow-key Dental Kanal main-demo OS4 ? a complete demo showing 2 topics aswell as some fullscreen photos and some fun-stuff. Dental Kanal Demo 1 OS4 (for pc/mac demos check our homepage ) Dental Kanal Demo 2 OS4 (for pc/mac demos check our homepage ) The presentations was made using Hollywood Designer - a very nice addition to Hollywood:) You will find more information about Designer at the homepage of Airsoft Softwair Best regards Torgeir Vee Ferrule Media www.ferrule-media.no |

Re: Hollywood 4.5 out now
Once upon a time I was pretty drunk last week and I managed to order Hollywood 4.5 and the designer. In retrospect that was a really bad idea. Not just the price, as it was some above my budget. But also having alcohol involved at your computer while your credit card is laying nearby never works well.
A few days later the mailman unexpectedly managed to drop a pack in my mailbox up here in the trolly norwegian woods. As the matter of fact I think my mailman is a troll, because I have never seen him, although he mostly gives me bills. I inserted the disks in my Sam flex 733 and it was clearly stating in the installment that this software was for me only! With name and address. No hologram embedded code needed, like with other bulk software- I felt personally addressed to keep that promise of never copying, and I will! When someone takes the time to burn CDs specificly to a person they mean it! After installing it nothing crashed. It was just like stated, a "Professional" software. And it is! I fooled around as much as I dared and everything was working perfectly. It was like it had a sandbox-environment allowing me to do all the silly stuff I always do, but without anything going wrong. I call that good programming. But here the problems started; It was so easy to make something. The interface my girlfiend coud have understood, and she is not the brightest light on the christmas tree to put it that way. Making presentations with text, sound and graphics worked like a charm. Including animation worked just as nice. I wanted to get into the coding itself and after a glance I deemed it easy. The compilation went great and I can play the stuff on all desireble computers. Here the problem became total: I now sit up to quite late designing all sorts of stuff. It is so addictive! I hope I dont loose my job because I oversleep due to this software. Hollywood is like flash, but more intriging, like Scala, but way better, or like powerpoint. But not. (Duh) Andreas Falkenhahn, I love you in making this great software, but I hate you for taking all my spare time living in it. |
