Is in-line HTML supported when reading emails?

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
Inline HTML is supported so far that the HTML text part is converted to plain text. Inline images are not supported.

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
Thanks for the update - but download doesn't work here (tried OWB, AWeb and IBrowse). Always "Connection reset by peer." error.

Yep - saw it at OS4Depot just a moment ago - downloaded. (Install has to wait until weekend..).

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
Here's a bug (in OS4 version at least):
YAM ignores the "get mail on startup" option when enabled, although in .config file GetOnStartup=Y is set. Maybe a quick fix for this? I suppose many people use this enabled. YAM bugtracker seems to be down atm (or my connection plays its games again) so I can't report it properly. |

Excellent! I've used YAM since forever and a new version is always welcomed.

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
Oh that kind of sucks. As much as I hate HTML email its a fact of life.

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
@HammerD
I use the HTML datatype (+http-handler) and have HTML files (text/html) within YAM associated with MultiView. One double-click on the attachment - or via the display part button - and the HTML mail is displayed in MultiView. For the low amount of useful HTML mail I get where the html->text conversion isn't adequate, it works perfectly and is quicker than launching a web browser to view it. |

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
The biggest problem is that neither Jens nor me can reproduce this issue, not on OS4 and not on OS3. For us YAM happlily downloads the mails as soon as it is started.

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
Well, it seems I found a possible weakness of YAM concerning the "download on startup" issue.
Everybody with this problem, please open YAM's user configuration, acknowledge the (most probably only) user's real name by pressing RETURN, close the window and quit YAM. On the next startup YAM should happily download mails automatically again. |

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
@Vulture
Strange, so far exactly this always was the problem and saving the user list with valid names again cured the issue for all affected people. |

Re: YAM 2.6 released!
@Vulture
Please create a NET debug log with YAM's debug version. Details on how to create the log can be found in the YAM FAQ. Please send the resulting debug log to both Jens and me privately. |
