This version runs faster and smoother than the previous one, only some glitches with audio but is very playable and funny now

Changes since the last hyperion build:
* Uses shared objects instead of the DLL hack used previously * MiniGL works again * Windowed mode works again * You can configure the AHI sound from the in-game menu system * New installer (which can install from Q2 CD or upgrade an existing install) * You can grab the mouse in windowed mode with the Help/Scroll lock key. |

Also, the audio glitches can be reduced by lowering the audio quality settings.

Niiccee,
Hope soon all Hyperion Amiga games will be reworked (and yes, they have promised Gorky 17 and Sin) and if possible a new CD that works out of box made availiable for new customers. I am willing to buy them all, and was very dissapointed to hear from various Amiga vendors that for no PPC game can be guaranteed that it works under OS 4.1/SAM |

Thanks Xeron, as you say it is faster too and now is perfectly playable also in 1024*768 (using MiniGL renderer)

Nice work! Hopefully more of their games can be released/updated for Amiga OS 4 ready for the new hardware we're waiting on ;)

Can someone please compare this to Capehill's port? How is it better/worse?
(edit: It doesn't sound like it provides anything that Capehill's port does not, and seems it has sound issue which I hadn't noticed in Capehill's port.) |
