Re: ACube Systems Corporate Web Site
I wonder if a (working) 7455 CPU can be removed from the module and re-used on another?
I have a working module here, but I would like to upgrade it to a faster CPU. If I send them my working module, would they be prepared to resell my CPU (or even the whole module) to someone with a broken CPU and supply me with an upgraded one? Of course I could always sell/swap it myself and then send them the broken one for repair/upgrade. Just thinking aloud. I'll ask them formally in an email. |

Re: ACube Systems Corporate Web Site
If that doesn't work out, I have a broken module here which I'm thinking of sending to them. Maybe we could arrange something?

Re: ACube Systems Corporate Web Site
Hi Simon,
It would depend on the cost, wouldn't it? I haven't seen any quotes yet. Besides, you would have to decide how much my 3-year old module was worth to you. |

Re: ACube Systems Corporate Web Site
Brilliant,
Gongratulations and good luck. The long awaited fix for broken cpu's is now available, with the added bonus of an upgrade. A triumph of good old fashioned values this country once possessed. Discovery, adventure, experimentation, and perseverence. Well done |

Quote: i have been to this guy last week.he was very silent when i asked about sam440 and os4. That's good enough for me, I expected them to stay tight lipped about any negotiations with Amiga Inb/Hyperion as that is the professional way to go about such business. It seems at last we have some professional providers of OS4 capable hardware. They only announce things when there is something to say and also have kept to their original announcement that SAM440EP is on shedule for a 1st Quarter 2007 release. This to my mind makes me think that everything has been far more advanced in regard of hardware development and OS4 licence negotiations that what most people thought! |
