Re: New Icons and AISS 4.10
I don't want to look ungrateful (Martin's images are great and the amount of work he's done is gigantic!) but the idea of having individually-designed drawer icons is beginning to show its weaknesses. First of all, it only really cuts it in directories with a few drawers. Once the number grows, you can end up with a horrible visual mess in which it's pretty easy to lose overview.
This should be considered when taking the OS further. We don't want to have plain, boring, early 90s-style desktops for sure. But care should be taken in order not to overdo it. The fact that I can customize the look to taste does not quite satisfy me. I want AmigaOS4.x to present itself as a professionally-looking OS, not as a Hawaii polo-shirt. |

Re: New Icons and AISS 4.10
You can always replace the main iconset with others or if you prefer just mix them, there are tons on choice on OS4Depot/Aminet, icons for all taste
But I can understand what you mean |

Re: New Icons and AISS 4.10
@samo79
Yes, I'm not talking about desktop customization; rather, I'm proposing certain points to consider when designing the default t OS look (because this is the look the outside world will see). |

Re: New Icons and AISS 4.10
Hi @Rigo,
How can I tell if AISS is working? The old system had a WBstartup script. Is there a entry required for StartUp Prefs now? Sorry, I lost touch amid the changes and updates. |

I continue with the problems of freezing my OS and I have reboot the system, when I run the GUI, I install this version and the previous versions, when I deleted all files for clear installation, nothing, I can't use this program, smoe idea?

Re: New Icons and AISS 4.10
@ Templario
Which version of AmigaOS4 do you use and which version of AISS did you try to install? |
