If I was able to do that I wouldn't need a transcript in the first place. |

Some people are deaf! errr. but I'm not one of them! Just saying... I came in expecting I'd be able to read a line by line rendition also... |

![]() A couple of points I found interesting:
1. Target customers for the X1000 beyond the usual Amiga fans. 2. Trevor is buying 5 boards to provide Amiga systems to worthy developers. Also note they want to attend AmiWest 2010 but need some financial help to do so. |

Because imho, for now, os4 not ready for the not amiga fans. For example default shell are primitive, 3d drivers suck very much (and minigl are not full opengl too, and works over that slow w3d drivers), preferences a bit "strange" for end user, workbench are very premitive for now. End users want everything in the box from the beginig (not like go and install kcon, go and download filer and so on) But with some cosmetical changes, with new 2d/3d drivers, with new shell, with integrated Filer to WB - then pretty possible to start attract new blood imho. |

There are always areas which need work. I think it is far more important to approach new customers rather than keep waiting until the timing is just right. But in any case, that decision is up to Hyperion and not us so we will see. |

![]() Just to clarify on what I heard from the show.. its just Rich the presenter that would like to go to AmiWest and is looking for some donations not Trevor as suggested by ssolie.
![]() ![]() I do agree 100% with kas1e though, more software needs to be bundled in from the start: he mentions the same examples I probably would of mentioned. And of course Timberwolf itself should also appear included on the Amiga X1000/AmigaOS. :) |

Sure OS4 needs improvements in quite a few parts. It would be interesting to hear Hyperions plans for this. What is on the "to do list", what is currently in the works and what is not even scheduled yet. Guess I'm just missing something like a roadmap ![]() @logic: Thanks for the transcript |

Agree, I think many of us will be pretty thankfull for Hyperion, if some of the developers will just bring todo/priority list for users. I personally like how Orgin works with Filer back in times, he just put Todo list on public, split it on the priorities, and we all know what expect and on which he works. Something like that from Hyperion will be very welcome :) |

I made no such suggestion. And Trevor Dickinson has been a confirmed attendee since July 20, 2010 so I really have no idea how you missed that. |

![]() When i read your post about "1. trevor say that, 2. trevor say that, and after "also they need some financical help" ", i for first just laugh, like "hm, trevor need money ?", but i of course understand that "they" mean not trevor, but those guys who do the show. But still, it was a bit not so clear.

![]() The episode proved to be too popular! So I setup a temp site till we get the situation fixed..
http://web.me.com/rgattie/AmiZed_in_E ... A_Sunday_with_Trevor.html Or you can download the episode directly from http://web.me.com/rgattie/AmiZed_in_Exile/Media/ART_20100912.mp3 Let me know if there are any problems. Also, after we get the site back up, Anyone wishing to do transcripts of episodes, let me know and I'll see about setting up access on the site itself to upload it. -Rich |
